Is wanting a partner a bad thing?

I have had two breakups in my life and since then I started reading Buddhism and all that and partly understand impermanence now.

However, without a partner my life feels like a void. However I try I can’t think of any job that can give me meaning. Jobs are for survival. I have friends and family too, but I still feel like I need a girl in my life. For love and for sex. Am not saying it’s love alone that’s my motivation. Sex too is a part of it.

So should I try dating? How can I date or fall in love with a person without getting attached, like I did the previous time?

Are there any of you who follow the Buddha’s path and are also in romantic relationships/marriages?

I think dating and love is important for all humans, because without that life can feel very nihilist and meaningless. I remember feeling alive when I had a girlfriend, but when she left I was initially sad, then later on feeling a nihilist void of nothing mattering to me any more.

Meditation sometimes helps, but I still feel like I would love a girlfriend.

Also any Buddhist dating advice? Someone would probably say don’t be attached to the results I guess.
